Thanks to a log of research, reading various forums (like this one), and asking around, I am now the proud owner (me and Kubota Financing) of an M4900, 4x4, with front end loader. This tractor replaced a pre 68 Ford 3000 that needed a lot of motor work. Have not received the FEL yet. Should be in ANY DAY>>>>> Based on some recent posts, I'm hoping my FEL isn't delayed in shipment. I felt the "Compacts" would not serve my purpose as well as the M4900. I bush hog about 8 acres of old pasture. All dealers I talked to strongly suggested that if I even thought about getting an FEL, I should go with the 4x4. Good Forum filled with a lot of help. Thanks>>>>>

Even from a resale point of view, many looking to buy will take one look at a two wheel drive FEL and walk away. 4WD definitely will be best, short or long term.
